Xiaomi Mi 5 shows off New Curved Display design & will Rock by New Version Of S820

As launch date is coming near for Xiaomi Mi 5, more & more details are emerging out and additional to that today a Newly Leaked Real Life Image of Xiaomi Mi 5 surfaces along with new details. Ironically this time Xiaomi Mi 5 looks more like Samsung way and Xiaomi is also thinking a plan like Samsung to introduce two models different in design to match the taste of their consumer.

The new image of the purported smartphone has leaked out in white which indicates that Mi 5 will be using a 2.5D curved glass display. The Leak also suggests a home key integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

Apparently Xiaomi are working with both Foxconn and Inventec to meet the demand of their buyers. Foxconn are even also putting in extra hours to fill orders of the new Mi Flagship. Looking at that Indian launch are not far away as previous year has been passed without any Xiaomi flagship device so Xiaomi will be keen to fill it this time.

According to the reports of Gizchina, Both factories might be working on separate versions of the Mi5 with slightly different hardware but completely different physical bodies. It is also reported that Xiaomi Mi5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB memory is apparently going to get a curved glass display same like (Galaxy S6 Edge) and 4G RAM 64GB memory version will have an all metal design so expect the pricing to be on higher side about Rs 35,000 ($530) if the reports comes true.

Xiaomi doesn’t wants to lose the flagship battle from anyone, especially when anyone is the “Samsung Galaxy S7”. A new listing has appeared on GeekBench, and this time around the device is rocking’ the revision 2 Snapdragon 820 SoC same as Smasung Galaxy S7. In the first test, the Mi 5 scored 2,140 points in a single-core test, and 4,762 points in the multi-core test. Well, this time around, the device managed to do even better. The Mi 5 hit 2,320 points in the single-core test, and 5,347 in a multi-core test with this 2nd revision of the Snapdragon 820 processor.

Both of Xiaomi Mi 5 variants will sport 5.2-inch panels with QHD Display and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, along with an Adreno 530 GPU. The 20-megapixel camera is said to be located on the back for the Mi 5 and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The 3,600mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS

If reports are to be believed then the Xiaomi Mi5 will launch on February 22nd and price will be paying a crucial role to it although the price has been said to be starting from Rs 30,000 ($450) the India launch could happen at the end of April this year.

[Update] A few hours ago, Xiaomi’s Senior VP Wanqiang Li, revealed via his official Weibo page that the company’s Spring Conference was going to be held on Feb 24. So, we can all expect to see the flagship Mi 5 at the event.
