Xiaomi Mi 5 New leaks confirmed to feature NFC & its Color Variants

Xiaomi Mi 5 leaks are emerging quickly as the launch is coming nearer. Hugo has confirmed not only that they’ll hold an event in Beijing on February 24th, but also in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on that very same date, this might be a sign of Xiaomi entering in US and Europe.

However, Lei Jun posted a screenshot from what is believed to be the Xiaomi Mi5 which points at a few possible features, which has confirmed the presence of NFC in the smartphone. Closer looks at the top right of the screen shot reveals something interesting. The “N” icon on the taskbar on top, denotes for the NFC.

The secondary thing you’ll see is dual SIM dual standby. You can clearly see the two network icons with 4G LTE support on top, which means two SIM cards work on the device.

That’s not all, a new leak also suggest about Mi 5’s retail packaging and shows Mi 5 in all colourful mode. The mi 5 will come in four different colors, Gold, Pink, White and Black.

Xiaomi Mi 5 variants will sport 5.2-inch panels with QHD Display and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC, along with an Adreno 530 GPU. The 20-megapixel camera is said to be located on the back for the Mi 5 and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. The 3,600mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will officially release on February 24, which is about a month from now. Xiaomi Mi 5 is said to be priced a bit higher than the usual pricing scheme Xiaomi followed up until now but the price is still under reachable for most of the users starting from For Rs 21999 ($335).
