Revealed: Xiaomi Mi 5 render leak along with price, spects & also scores highest figure on AnTuTu



Xiaomi wants to make sure that they open up next year with a bang and for that XIaomi is getting ready with the Mi 5 launch next year which is just month away from us. Well we are lucky enough to see Mi 5 first render before its launch that to Weibo.

It looks like the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship will continue to use a design similar to the one we have seen on the Mi Note series at the same time it does not look different than OnePlus 2. But sadly, you won’t find Qualcomm's fingerprint scanner underneath it that why you are seeing a physical home button on the front, a first for a Xiaomi device.

According to Jiutang, Xiaomi has found that Qualcomm's fingerprint scanner is not reliable or stable yet. Another interesting piece of information comes from the same source actually, and it claims that the phone will be unveiled on January 21st. Xiaomi has been waiting for Qualcomm to release their Snapdragon 820 SoC for quite some time now, and considering that might happen in January.

The company’s CEO has already mentioned that he has been using the device for quite some time now, so it might be ready for primetime. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to sport a 5.2-5.5” QHD display, 3/4GB of RAM and various internal storage options. The 21-megapixel shooter will probably be included on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Android Lollipop or Marshmallow will come pre-installed here with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS available on top of it


Along with render the price has also been mentioned in Weibo post, there will be two versions of the phone. One will be priced at the equivalent of Rs 20,000 ($311), while the other model will cost Rs 25,000 ($389)



[Update] The Newest Update that we have received about Mi 5 comes with real-life glimpse which makes you forget about thin bezel as New Mi 5 comes with slim bezels which is going to be mandatory for 2016 phone. According to the benchmark, the Snapdragon 820 could be the powerhouse of Smartphones holding a powerpack score of 101,339 on the AnTuTu benchmark test were no other Smartphone come closer to it. The results of the benchmark test were discovered on Weibo.
